Nag Tibba is the highest peak in the lesser Himalayan region of Uttarakhand state (Garhwal Division), Situated at the height of 3,022 meters. it has been a perfect spot for trekkers and adventure seekers.
It is a pretty easy trek for startups which start from a small village called panthwari . if you have two days in hand you can easily cover the trail and if you want something adventures, then add this to your bucket list.
MY JOURNEY
Day 01: Dehradun to Panthwari to Nagtibba Base camp
We have started a journey from Dehradun by my own vehicle, we have a group of 4 friends.
In the morning by 10 AM we have started over journey best route to take from Dehradun to Mussoorie
You can enjoy the beautiful and mesmerizing view of Dehradun valley from Mussoorie road or Meggie point we stop there enjoy the delicious Meggie over there and then started further by around 11:00 we reach mussoorie . Mussoorie is the beautiful hill station also called queen of hills receive good snowfall in winter.
Now the journey started toward the Panthwari village few sightseeing in between kempty fall , Yamuna bridge but we continue further because we have to reach the village on time.
By 1:00 Pm we reach Nainbagh last market before the village route form nainbagh to panthwari is very beautiful small villages come in between and majestic view of the Himalayas make the journey wonderful.
By 1:30 Pm we reach pathwari village the last village from where the trek trails start and then there is one shop over there you can buy essentials for the trek over there we stop I had some parathasand a cup of tea and few chat with villagers about the trek all the villagers is very friendly in nature after spending 10,15 min in the village we started walking up towards kathian 6km from panthwari village ( over campsite for the trek)
During this hike, I came across several mud huts a view of a beautiful valley you encounter a scenic the beauty of the hills and the culture of the hills everything seems so wonderful .
Within few hours, sun goes down and the freezing cold winds start and finally we reach basecamp the finniest spot for camping at the hilltop we get a mesmerizing view of sunset a complete orange line in the valley then we pitched camp there start cooking food one of my friends collected some woods for born fire it was the finest night camping, wilderness, sky covered with stars, bonfire so peace full the atmosphere all around.
Day 02: Nagtiba Base camp to Nagtibba Summit to Return Nagtibba Base camp
The next day early morning we take a trail up words towards the nagtiba temple trail was surrounded by dense forest trees of oaks . In the next few hours, we reached a point, there was a cemented hut constructed by the government for travelers. Just 100m ahead after a small walk we finally reached nagtiba temple . we rested under the shed for 10-15 min and then we further started trek for nagtibba Summit.
The trail toward the summit is surrounded with a beautiful Buraansh tree. as the tail proceed the beauty of the trek increased. All of a sudden we come to see snow on trail and tree it was so amazing to see all-white beauty around.
As we move forward forest become more dense snow increased and the trail is not so proper we get to see many small trails which make confusion you must require a guide otherwise it is very tuff to be at the top of the summit.
After few hours of walk, we saw a beautiful meadow covered with snow which hinted that the summit was near. As we stepped forward we saw the Indian flag and a few other religious flags at the top and finally we reached our final destination nagtibba summit body is completely exhausted but the beauty all around is rejoicing us . after having rest we clicked some group photos.
From nagtibba summit, you can see a complete Himalayan range (Bandar punch and Kalanga peak.).
After spending an hour we started trekking back toward basecamp its time to return home with beautiful memories.
